Multiple Saudi clubs have approached Robert Lewandowski’s entourage, but the striker is still content at Barça — for now.
Robert Lewandowski is once again the subject of intense transfer speculation. According to Mundo Deportivo, several Saudi Arabian clubs have expressed serious interest in signing the Polish striker, whose contract with FC Barcelona runs until June 2026.

While Lewandowski appears settled in Barcelona and has no immediate plans to leave, the financial power of the Saudi Pro League could change everything — especially if the player requests a move and the club receives a convincing offer.
Saudi Clubs Making a Push for Lewandowski
Representatives from multiple Saudi clubs have already contacted Lewandowski’s camp to explore the possibility of a summer transfer. Despite having one year left on his original contract, extended with an option, Lewandowski remains focused on Barcelona — where he feels comfortable both professionally and personally.
His family has adapted well to life in Catalonia, and his on-pitch performance has remained exceptional: 42 goals last season, even with a late injury setback.
The Saudi League: A Golden Destination for Veterans
Barcelona remains cautious. The Saudi Pro League has an unmatched ability to offer lucrative, multi-year contracts to aging superstars.
A similar path was taken by Cristiano Ronaldo, who renewed his deal with Al Nassr until 2027 — with an annual salary of €208 million, plus signing bonuses totaling €30 million.
Other big names in the league include Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kanté, Riyad Mahrez, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mané, and João Félix — the latter just 25 when he made the switch.
Flick Still Counts on Lewy — But Will Rotate More
New Barça manager Hansi Flick plans to keep Lewandowski as a key player for the 2025/26 season. However, considering his age, the coach intends to manage his minutes more carefully.
Ferran Torres has impressed during pre-season, and Marcus Rashford or Dani Olmo could also rotate into the striker position — with Olmo having experience as a false nine.
Lewandowski Can Leave — But Only If Three Conditions Are Met:
- The player must personally request the move.
- The Saudi offer must be financially irresistible — both in salary and contract length.
- Barcelona must receive fair compensation reflecting Lewandowski’s value on and off the pitch.
Barcelona paid €45M plus €5M in bonuses to sign Lewandowski in 2022. While they won’t expect the same fee now, they will demand a respectful sum for their star striker.
For now, Lewandowski remains committed. But in football, money often talks — especially when tens of millions are on the table.
