Pau Víctor’s time at FC Barcelona has officially come to an end. The 23-year-old striker has joined Sporting Clube de Braga, with both clubs confirming the permanent transfer on Thursday.
Barcelona released a short statement:
“FC Barcelona and Sporting Clube de Braga have reached an agreement for the transfer of Pau Víctor. The club wishes him the best of luck and success in both his professional and personal life.”

According to SC Braga, the Portuguese club has acquired 100% of Víctor’s rights for €12 million, with an additional €3 million in potential bonuses. He has signed a contract that runs through June 2030, and his release clause is set at a hefty €50 million.
FC Barcelona, however, did not include a buy-back clause, according to insider Gerard Romero. The deal is still financially beneficial for the Catalan club, reportedly generating €9 million for Barça within La Liga’s financial fair play framework.
Barcelona will also cover the solidarity mechanism payment related to the transfer, which will be deducted from Braga’s final cost. In addition, Girona FC, Víctor’s previous club, will receive 30% of the fee (around €3.5 million).
Pau Víctor’s Emotional Farewell
The Catalan forward shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, bidding farewell to the club where he fulfilled a childhood dream:
“Today, a chapter of my life comes to a close. More than football, this was a dream come true. First with Barça Atlètic, then with the first team — always with the same feeling: that of a child who grew up dreaming of wearing this jersey.”
He also expressed his gratitude to coaches, teammates, staff, and fans, adding:
“Barça is not just a club — it’s a feeling that changes you and makes you a better person. I leave with friendships, values, and memories that I will carry with me forever.”
Víctor concluded his farewell by saying he’s ready for new challenges, always proud to have represented the Blaugrana colors.
